Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will come out in theaters on December 25, 2023. The second Aquaman movie was originally supposed to premiere on December 21, 2022, but another DC movie, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, initially took that release. Then August 24, 2022, Warner Bros announced another date reshuffle that involved most of the titles it would release, including Shazam and The Flash.

We may see Aquaman’s arch-nemesis, Black Manta, exact his revenge on the protagonist. In DC lore, Black Manta is one of the most bloodthirsty villains who is fueled by his hatred for Aquaman, blaming the hero for the death of his father. Another likely path the movie may take is the exploration of the Seven Kingdoms. In the lore of the DC comic books, Atlantis is one of the seven oceanic kingdoms, and the other kingdoms are Xebel, a military kingdom, The Kingdom of Deserters, and The Trench. The Trench is found in the Mariana Trench, the deepest part of the ocean. It is home to some of the most vicious creatures in the seven seas. This may be where the Trench-like creatures that attacked Aquaman and his allies in the first movie.
