The Bungo Stray Dogs Season 4 trailer was dropped during the anime’s panel at Crunchyroll Expo 2022. In the trailer, the Armed Detective Agency receives a warning about a big job that they shouldn’t accept because it is set to destroy them. It is then revealed that the members of the agency are being set up as terrorists and the military’s elite the Hunting Dogs are dispatched to go after them.
Interestingly, the trailer also confirms that Osamu Dazai is the first to be arrested and we get to meet the new character Nikolai Gogol. In addition to that, the members of the Hunting Dogs are revealed in the Bungo Stray Dogs Season 4 teaser. The fourth season of Bungo Stray Dogs will bring back most of the main staff including director Takuya Igarashi, series script supervisor and writer Yoji Enokido, character designer and chief animation director Nobuhiro Arai, and the animation studio BONES. The returning main cast members include Yuto Uemura as Atsushi Nakajima, Mamoru Miyano as Osamu Dazai, Sumire Morohoshi as Kyoka Izumi, Kensho Ono as Ryunosuke Akutagawa, and Kisho Taniyama as Chuya Nakahara. Bungo Stray Dogs is based on the manga written by Kafka Asagiri and illustrated by Sango Harukawa. It follows the members of the Armed Detective Agency who protect Yokohama from political and supernatural forces that threaten the city. The anime first aired in 2016 and a spin-off film Bungo Stray Dogs: Dead Apple was released in 2018. Bungo Stray Dogs Season 4 will premiere in January 2023.
