In Chainsaw Man Episode 5, Denji finally got to touch some boobs, thanks to Power who was keeping her end of the deal. However, Denji is disappointed when the experience isn’t what he expected. That’s when Makima steps in and explains to him why he still feels empty inside. As it turns out, things are very different when Makima makes advances towards Denji. But naturally, she wants something back before she gives Denji anything he wants. Makima tells him that he will need to kill the Gun Devil before she submits to his requests.
But who is the Gun Devil? Makima tells Denji about the devil’s first appearance in America then explains that it also appeared in Japan. That’s when we see a young boy asking his parents to play with him in the snow and his younger brother joins him instead. Although the boy initially resists, he ends up playing with his brother whose hands get cold from making snowballs. The boy tells his brother to get his gloves so they can continue to play and as the little boy returns to their house, the building is obliterated by the Gun Devil. It is then revealed that the young boy was actually Aki Hayakawa and fans realize why he is so determined to kill the Gun Devil. Needless to say, the tender and tragic scene has fans feeling protective of young Aki.
We also get to see a teen Aki as he is brought to Himeno to be part of her team. And considering that we will be learning more about Himeno’s backstory in the future, we could also see more of teen Aki in the next few episodes. Chainsaw Man Episode 6 will premiere on November 15, 2022.
