According to Wizards of the Coast’s official announcement, players can use the brand new Ajani avatar on MTG Arena until September 15. After that, players can purchase it on the game’s store.

Wizards already revealed the Dominaria United green/white card featuring Ajani, the Sleeper Agent, which you can check out below:

As you can see, the latest expansion brings back Phyrexian mana cost, which gives players the option to pay 2 life instead of mana. The mythic rare legendary Planeswalker card lets you play Ajani for only 3 mana if you pay 2 life but 4 total mana if you don’t, giving players more versatility to casting the card.

On Wednesday, Wizards also announced the September Best-of-One Qualifier Play-In event happening this weekend. WotC says that it’s “your first step on the Premier Play path that culminates in the 2023 Arena Championship 2!” MTG Arena players can join the event between 6am PT (1pm UTC) on Sept. 10, Saturday, until the same time on Sept. 11, Sunday. The format of the event is Dominaria United Phantom Sealed (“Phantom” implies that players will not be able to permanently acquire the cards they get from the packs). Dominaria United was released on MTG Arena on September 1. Pre-release events started on Sept. 2, and the new expansion will be fully-released in stores on Sept. 9.
