While cosplayers of Denji, Makima, and Power have been quite popular over the past year, there aren’t as many Himeno cosplayers. Now though, there’s a noticeable increase as more anime-only fans get to know her.
Himeno and Her Iconic Moments in Chainsaw Man
Chainsaw Man is an anime series by MAPPA that’s based on the manga of the same name by Tatsuki Fujimoto. Even before the anime’s release, the series is already incredibly popular among anime fans. Even if you haven’t read the manga, chances are that you’ve already come across fan art, cosplay, and memes featuring the series’ popular characters like Makima and Power. Himeno is one of the many characters in the series, and she recently gained more popularity thanks to the anime. Despite only debuting properly in Episode 5 (not counting her quick Episode 4 appearance), Himeno already has lots of memorable moments. Her most iconic moment happened in the latest episode. After promising a French kiss to Denji, Himeno does actually kiss him, but she also vomits in Denji’s mouth as she’s had too much to drink. It’s fair to say that this moment disgusted lots of viewers. Even Himeno’s VA, Mariya Ise, tweeted an apology following the scene. Aside from that scene, Himeno coming on to Denji in Episode 7’s ending also sparked some debate, with a sizeable number of viewers being creeped out due to their age gap. NSFW Himeno Cosplay
Whether you like her or not, Himeno is becoming one of the most popular characters in the series right now, and new cosplays of her are being shared online due to her popularity. One such cosplay is by content creator @epicinternetgf who shared an NSFW cosplay of Himeno that totally channels her drunk energy from Episode 7. On the left is Himeno in her Public Safety suit, and on the right is Himeno in her underwear with a can of beer – straight out of the latest episode. Lots of fans noticed and reacted to this NSFW cosplay as it got a lot of traction on both Twitter and Reddit.
