However, it looks like the series may have recruited its first new cast member to its ensemble. According to notable insider Daniel Richtman (via The Direct), The Many Saints of Newark star Michael Gandolfini is joining the cast of Daredevil: Born Again. There are no details provided regarding his character, but it is expected to be a major role. So far, neither Marvel Studios nor the major trades have confirmed the actor’s casting in the series yet so we have to take it with a grain of salt for now although Richtman has provided accurate scoops in the past so there is a possibility that it ends up being true.

Michael Gandolfini is known as the son of The Sopranos star the late James Gandolfini. He played the younger version of his father’s iconic role Tony Soprano last year in The Many Saints of Newark. He also starred in Cherry and TV shows such as The Offer and The Deuce. It is interesting to hear that Gandolfini may have joined the cast of the series since he is the first new actor that we’re hearing attached to the project. It is hard to tell right now what kind of role he might play in the series whether he will be an ally or foe or Matt Murdock. Either way, it is exciting nonetheless that he may be part of the series as his career is on a rise. Matt Corman and Chris Ord serve as the head writers of the new series. Production will reportedly begin in February 2023 in New York City. The first season is expected to run for 18 episodes.
