After all, the shonen franchise created by Akira Toriyama have shown some mature themes in the past, such as Master Roshi’s perverted scenes. Now, we have an answer. As Twitter outlet @DBSChronicles points out, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is PG-13 in the U.S., accoriding to Fandango. This makes the sequel to Dragon Ball Super: Broly the first-ever PG-13 Dragon Ball movie to release in the U.S.
This shouldn’t come as a surprise to Dragon Ball fans. While the anime franchise has shown some light mature themes in the past, it’s always been family-friendly, but it’s obviously not a kids movie. The violence isn’t as brutal or gory as Mortal Kombat’s, and you won’t find the hardcore themes of Redo of Healer in this movie.
