In House of the Dragon Episode 1, Viserys had gathered the small council where he is choosing to tell jokes. Corlys Velaryon interrupts the joking by telling them about Craghas Drahar, the Myrish prince-admiral who is leading the Triarchy of the Free Cities in an invasion of the Stepstones. However, his report is cut short by the arrival of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, who distracts Viserys. The little detail may be easily forgotten but Corlys’ concern about Craghas Crabfeeder and the Triarchy is something very important in the future. After all, Corlys is set to fight back against the Triarchy with the help of Daemon, who agrees to the alliance because … well, we won’t tell you just yet.

The alliance between Corlys and Daemon in the War for the Stepstones will lead to the Sea Snake naming Daemon the “King of the Stepstones and the Narrow Sea.” It’s a title that fits Matt Smith’s character, who is set for another alliance with Corlys a little after the war. So when do we get to see Daemon as a king? The wait will only take a couple of weeks. It has been revealed that House of the Dragon Episode 4 is titled King of the Narrow Sea so that’s something to look forward to next month. House of the Dragon Episode 2 is titled The Rogue Prince and will premiere on HBO on Sunday, August 28, 2022, at 9:00 PM EST.
