In House of the Dragon Episode 3, we move forward two years after King Viserys I Targaryen married Alicent Hightower. Alicent has since given birth to Prince Aegon II Targaryen and is pregnant with her second child. Meanwhile, Rhaenyra Targaryen has isolated herself from her father and her former best friend. It is also revealed that Daemon Targaryen and Corlys Velaryon have been fighting the War of the Stepstones against the Triarchy and are having trouble defeating the Crabfeeder. Corlys’ brother Vaemond reaches out to King Viserys for aid and although he resists at first, the king decides to send 10 ships to help Daemon and Corlys in their fight. The furious Daemon then sets off to surrender to Crabfeeder but the move is just as an act as the army attacks in full force. As it turns out, there is another dragonrider joining the fight as Laenor Velaryon is shown leading Seasmoke into the attack.

It’s awesome to see Laenor Velaryon all grown up after debuting as a little boy in the premiere episode. Needless to say, people are loving the brief glimpse of Laenor in action in House of the Dragon Episode 3.

House of the Dragon Episode 3 is now on HBO. House of the Dragon Episode 4 is titled King of the Narrow Sea. The new episode will premiere on HBO on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at 9:00 PM EST.
