Among her classmates, Kushida is considered a kind and helpful girl. She has tried to befriend Suzune Horikita multiple times despite her strong disdain for her fellow classmate. No one would think that she has a different personality within, as she is always there to help people, and she also has a kind and sweet appearance.

Is Kushida Evil?

The Collins English Dictionary defines an evil person as someone who is very wicked by nature and feels pleasure from hurting others. While it would be harsh to call Kushida evil, she does fit the definition. This is because, after Kiyotaka saw her other side, she showed more signs of being an antagonist. It was revealed in the drama CD that before Kushida starts her day, she prepares a to-do list wherein she lists the people she will interact with, the responses she would give, and other related courses of action.

What Does Kushida Want?

Her goal is to appear flawless and keep her good-girl image. It was later revealed that she was only befriending Horikita because she was afraid that the latter would reveal what she did in middle school. When Kushida was young, she used to vent her frustrations about her classmates on her blog anonymously. It was later on discovered by another classmate, which exposed Kikyo and destroyed her angelic mask. All of her actions are related to her jealousy when it comes to sports and studies. She attempted to expose the secrets of the class and did not have second thoughts about hurling insults against her classmates. She also betrayed the class multiple times just to achieve her goal and prevent herself from being expelled. Kushida would apologize - without meaning it - and not have second thoughts about doing it again just to save herself. Does she sound like the perfect antagonist for the series?
