What is The Midnight Club About?
The Midnight Club is Mike Flanagan’s 2022 series with Netflix based on the young adult novel written by Christopher Pike. The series tells the story of a group of terminally ill teenagers who love telling horror stories. They all agreed that whoever dies first has to come back to tell them about the other side. In one of his tweets, Mike Flanagan talked about how excited he was about the project.
What is The Midnight Mass About?
The Midnight Mass tells the story of Riley Flynn, a man haunted by a drunk driving accident that changed his mind. He goes back to his hometown as he tries to find his purpose in life. He then meets Father Paul, a mysterious priest with a secret.
Are they different or similar?
The Midnight Club and The Midnight Mass may seem like similar films but they do not belong within the same universe and only share a few things in common, like sharing similar titles. Aside from the titles, both shows will be directed by Mike Flanagan. We may also see similar castings in both shows since Flanagan likes to work with actors in multiple projects. These may be where the similarities end, because Flanagan may take a different approach with The Midnight Club to accommodate its younger target audience.
