The project serves as Keanu’s homecoming as he famously portrayed Constantine in 2005. While he’s expressed his interest in reprising his role as the occult detective, fans have been fan-casting the actor in other high-profile franchises, including Star Wars and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The 57-year-old star previously revealed that he was once in talks with Marvel Studios but shockingly enough, they’ve yet to find a project that would appeal to him. Admittedly, Keanu has always had his sights set on playing a beloved comic book character in live-action and it’s a casting idea we never knew we needed to see until now.Speaking with Extra, Keanu revealed that playing Batman in live-action is something he’s always wanted to do. In fact, he’s actually interested in playing an older version of the Dark Knight. “It’s always been a dream, but [Robert] Pattinson’s got Batman right now and he’s doing awesome, so maybe down the road.
