Lee Jung Jae and Jung Woo Sung’s Hunt Scored 1 Million Viewers

As obtained by Soompi, Hunt hit its first million mark at the Korean box office. According to the Korean Film Council, as of August 13, Lee Jung Jae and Jung Woo Sung’s movie garnered 1,007,000 audiences since it made its premiere on August 10. Interestingly, the action drama movie sustained its top spot at the box office for three consecutive days since its debut. Hunt follows the story of top National Intelligence Service (NIS) agents named Park Pyung Ho (Lee Jung Jae) and Kim Jung Do (Jung Woo Sung) who are assigned to chase the person in charge of North Korean spies. However, they were accused of being the mole to the mission, following a surprising discovery. Hunt Participates at Cannes Film Festival 2022

Before the blockbuster theatrical release of Hunt, the movie was invited to premiere at the Cannes Film festival 2022, alongside a few Korean movies like Decision to Leave, The Next Sohee, and Broker. During the screening at the midnight at the Lumiere Grand Theater, Lee Jung Jae and Jung Woo Sung’s movie receive a 7-minute-long standing ovation from the crowd. In a report cited by Ten Asia, the actor-director expressed his excitement and said that he was “moved by the long applause.
