Artist Marilee Heyer reveals that she’s yet to be given credit by Lucasfilm for helping create the iconic Leia look which has been used in several Star Wars media since its big screen debut in 1983. Speaking with SFGate, the artist and illustrator opened up about her struggles acknowledgment and how she wants Leia’s Return of the Jedi appearance to become part of her legacy which quite frankly is a fairly reasonable request.She said: “I would like to be remembered if this is my legacy. If this is what I’m most noted for, I want to make sure I’m getting credited when I’m no longer around. I view my artwork like my children.
