In a recent Weekly MTG livestream, Wizards of the Coast revealed that Junji Ito was illustrating four new artworks for Magic: The Gathering cards for the Secret Lair drop, with the horrific style fitting well in showing how terrifying these cards could be. Ito has illustrated new art for Thoughtseize, Carrion Feeder, Doomsday, and Plaguecrafter.
Here’s a breakdown of each card in Junji Ito’s Secret Lair drop:
Artist Series: Junji Ito was made be available, starting on Oct. 17 for a retail price of $29.99 for the standard print and $39.99 for a special “etched foil” edition. As with most Secret Lair drops, they will only be available for one month before they are removed from the product’s official store.
