ScreenGeek has reported that Mark Ruffalo is currently in talks to appear as the Hulk in Captain America: New World Order. They didn’t provide any details regarding the circumstance of the character’s appearance in the film or whether he will have a larger role or not. We do have to take note that the report has not been confirmed by Marvel or corroborated by any of the major trades so we still have to take it with a grain of salt for now. The site has reported some accurate exclusive scoops before so there is the likelihood that it could be true.

Considering that The Leader is set to make an appearance and there are rumors that She-Hulk will also be part of the film, it wouldn’t be surprising if the Hulk ends up appearing as well whether it’s a major supporting role or just a small cameo. There’s also the fact that the film will reportedly lead to the rumored World War Hulk project that is in the works. It would be interesting to see if the upcoming episodes of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will set up either the Hulk or She-Hulk’s potential appearance in the film. Either way, it is exciting to hear the prospect of the Hulk showing up in one of the most-anticipated upcoming films in the MCU. Anthony Mackie, Danny Ramirez, Tim Blake Nelson, Shira Haas, and Carl Lumbly are confirmed to appear in the film. Julius Onah is directing. Production is slated to begin early next year.
