Recently, Bacot confirmed that he will at least be in one episode of Outer Banks Season 3, and he revealed that filming has consistently conflicted with his schedule. At UNC’s Summer Media Day (via Inside Carolina), Bacot details his experience filming for Outer Banks Season 3. “I might get casted out,” the UNC star joked. “I shot the first day, but they wanted me to stay there for four days, but I had to go to the Kentucky Derby. I was supposed to be shooting these next three days, but we’ve got to practice. I know I’m in one episode, but I probably would have been in more if I had more time. I may shoot more. I don’t know. Netflix, they are probably pissed at me.” Regardless of the schedule conflict, Bacot got the chance to work on his acting chops. “I got to learn lines; you’ve got to actually act,” Bacot said. “It’s a lot of work. I was shooting a four-minute scene, and it probably took six hours. The directors are all cool; the cast are all cool. They are all big UNC fans. They make it easy. I never thought I’d be in a position to be an actor.” Back in May, Bacot shared a photo on his Instagram story Stokes and Pankow for OBX Season 3. The post’s caption simply said, ‘on set.’

Netflix hasn’t announced an offiical release date for Outer Banks Season 3 yet, but it’s rumored to release this December. You can everything we know about OBX 3 here.
