The episode’s title, “Crisis Point 2: Paradoxus,” revealed that the episode is a sequel to the Season 1 episode “Crisis Point,” which was a parody of the Star Trek movies. In the clip released, Boiler’s holodeck movie sequel tries to live up to the original. Star Trek: Lower Decks Season 3 Episode 8 will be released on Paramount+ on Thursday, October 13, 2022.

During the Star Trek Day Celebration, Star Trek: Lower Decks panel featured the series’ voice cast Tawny Newsom, who also co-hosted the event, Noël Wells, and moderator Paul F. Tompkins. Fred Tatasciore, another cast member, served as the announcer for the event.
