With the tremendous milestone inside Hulu and the fandom that it has acquired, fans are now wondering about the odds of seeing a Prey sequel with Naru being declared as the new War Chief. Thankfully, the Prey lead star is also optimistic about the possibility.
In an interview with EW, Midthunder addressed the possibility of doing a Prey sequel, as long as 20th Century Fox agrees. According to her, she trusts that director Dan Trachtenberg will make the right choice:
Prey’s whole narrative centers on Naru wanting to follow in his brother’s footsteps in becoming a hunter. Eventually, Naru was declared the War Chief after hunting down and single-handedly outplaying the Predator. With that being said, Naru’s character arc is back to a clean slate, and it’s now up to the writers how they will craft Naru’s next adventure.
Thankfully, Prey director Dan Trachtenberg is also ready to return for a sequel, as he told The Hollywood Reporter:
