RWBY: Ice Queendom Episode 4 Recap
The first 3 episodes of RWBY: Ice Queendom all aired together, as a joint recap episode, but Episode 4 finally gave us some new content! Episodes 1-3 mostly reintroduced us to existing material, with one notable exception; a new professor and dream specialist called Shion, and the idea that some Grimm might infect hunters, causing intense inner battles with their demons, with fellow hunters and friends being the only ones who can snap the infected person out of it. In Episode 4, Weiss, who had been infected in the first three episodes finally gave in to her dark inner world. As her teammate, it falls on Ruby to save Weiss from her own self. The task proves difficult as Weiss is troubled not only by her dysfunctional family situation but also due to the prejudices she’s only started to unlearn. This was a surreal but amazing-looking episode that adds depth to Ruby and Weiss’s relationship and will likely strengthen their friendship moving forward - if Ruby manages to save her friend first! The dream world we’ve encountered is fun and engaging, not to mention creepy, and we can’t wait for more!
RWBY: Ice Queendom Episode 5 Release Date
RWBY: Ice Queendom Episode 5 will arrive on Sunday, July 31st. You can watch RWBY: Ice Queendom episodes on both Crunchyroll and Rooster Teeth’s own platform, Rooster Teeth FIRST. So far, a RWBY: Ice Queendom dub hasn’t been released, but you can watch the show in Japanese with English subtitles.
