Now, a new rumor suggests that the polarizing executive’s days as the leader of the production company are coming to an end and it could happen in 2023. A recent report from John Campea says that Kennedy will be relieved of her duties in the Summer of next year. The report claims that it could either take place before or after the release of Indiana Jones 5, a project she proudly announced at this year’s D23 Expo.The specifics surrounding Kennedy’s potential firing have not been disclosed but unsurprisingly, the rumor is already spreading like wildfire all over social media. On Twitter, fans seem to be divided on the possibility of Kathleen stepping down as Lucasfilm President. Some folks even listed down Kennedy’s contributions to Star Wars, while others were quick to point out the things she did wrong that nearly put the franchise in jeopardy. What do you think? With Bob Iger set to reassume his position as Disney CEO, it would be safe to assume that Kennedy is safe from getting axed since it was Iger who hired her in the first place.
