The project has been in development for quite some time now with Black Panther actor Michael B. Jordan set to produce. However, the recent WB Discovery “purge” has a lot of fans worried about the project potentially being removed unceremoniously from the DCEU’s slate of upcoming projects. There are even rumors suggesting that Static Shock is the next film to receive the axe from David Zaslav but it turns out that’s not the case. According to Nikolas Draper-Ivey, who co-wrote and served as an artist for the Static: Shadows of Dakota comic, all the speculation surrounding the DCEU film’s cancelation is false and fans should have nothing to worry about.Taking to Twitter, he wrote: “Stop speculating about the Static movie.
