This new trailer for the Tekken anime gives us a closer look at the series’ cast, including iconic characters, Jin Kazama, Heihachi Mishima, Nina Williams, Paul Phoenix, Ling Xiaoyu, and more. Check out the official trailer here: Bloodline follows Jin Kazama, one of the most popular characters in the Tekken series. In his youth, Jin was powerless to stop a monstrous evil that destroyed everything dear to him. Jin vowed revenge and sought more power, leading him to set his sights on The King of the Iron Fist Tournament. While Netflix has yet to announce which studio is handling the animation, Yoshikazu Miyao (director of Magi: Adventure of Sinbad) shared on Twitter that his studio Barnstorm Design Labo is working on the Tekken anime. What we do know is the series’ Japanese voice cast which was revealed via the Netflix Japan Anime Twitter account. Along with the trailer and cast info, Netflix also released a new key visual for the series: Tekken: Bloodline is a new anime series adaptation of Bandai Namco’s long-running fighting game franchise. It is technically the third anime adaptation as a Tekken OVA and CGI animated film have been released back in 1998 and 2011, respectively. Tekken began back in 1994 with the release of the first game in arcades. Aside from being a hit in arcades, The series is also one of the most popular fighting game franchises on consoles and PC and is a fixture in fighting game tournaments all over the world. Tekken: Bloodline will release on Netflix on August 18, 2022.
