That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bonds (Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken: Guren no Kizuna in Japanese) is the first anime movie adaptation in the Slime Isekai series. The movie follows protagonist Rimuru Tempest who gets involved in a conspiracy that revolves around the Queen of Raja. In this adventure, Rimuru and his companions also cross paths with Hiiro, a survivor of the Ogre race. That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is an anime series by Eight Bit that is based on the light novel series of the same name by Fuse. The series began as a web novel series until it was picked up by Micro Magazine in 2014. Since then, the light novel series has continued until the present day, and it has received a manga adaptation along with several spin-off mangas. As for the Slime Isekai anime, it began with a 2-cour first season which aired from October 2018 to March 2019. This was followed up with a split-cour second season which aired in the Winter 2021 and Summer 2021 seasons. That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bonds will release in cinemas in Japan on November 25, 2022. The movie will release in theaters worldwide in early 2023.
