Speaking of The Acolyte, new details about the intriguing project are coming to light courtesy of one of its lead stars Dafne Keen. In an interview with TechRadar, the Logan and His Dark Materials star shared juicy details about the upcoming series which is set a century before the events of the prequel trilogy. Keen said the following:I can tease that it’s a prequel. No, I mean, you know it’s set one hundred years before the prequel movies, and it’s kind of an explanation of how the Sith infiltrated the Jedi. It’s a Sith-led story, which has never been done before.“She continued: “It’s been really fun to film, the cast is amazing, and the director [Leslye Headland] and crew are just lovely. Star Wars hasn’t really done projects that are centered on the franchise’s villains so The Acolyte definitely sounds like a breath of fresh air. Star Wars’ The Acolyte is expected to release sometime in 2024 exclusively on Disney+.
