Now, TheWrap has confirmed that the first trailer for The Flash will release on Sunday, February 12, 2023, which is also the day of Super Bowl LVII. It will also mark the studio’s return to promoting their movie in the biggest sports event since the last time they did it was back in 2006. The report also indicated that sources told them that the film has been tested positively and the studio has high confidence in it. There is also the fact that they decided to release the trailer at the same time as the release of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania in theaters which means that they are heavily pushing it.

With all the news that is coming in the DC franchise in the past several days, this is certainly the most positive one that we’ve heard yet recently since a lot of fans have been looking forward to seeing another look at the film beyond what was already shown in the DC FanDome event last year. There have also been speculations about the film since there were reports that Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot’s cameo appearances were cut. It was also expected to change the future of the DC franchise although that remains unlikely now since James Gunn and Peter Safran have taken over and spearheaded the new DCU. The cast also includes Kiersey Clemons, Ron Livingston, Michael Shannon, Antje Traue, Sasha Calle, Ben Affleck, and Maribel Verdu. Andy Muschietti directed the film from Christina Hodson’s screenplay.
