The Next Big Saga of the MCU: The Multiverse Saga Slate With Release Dates

Here’s your quick guide on how Marvel’s Phase Five and Six will unfold as announced during the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con.

MCU Phase Five

The fourth phase of the MCU will be closed out by Black Panther: Wakanda Forever which will be happening on November 11, 2022. The whole Phase Four has built enough and set up the aftermath of the Infinity Saga and the stepping stones for the upcoming big saga of the franchise, the Multiverse Saga.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania - February 17, 2023

The next Thanos-Level big villain is coming up next and what better way than to formally come out in the very first title for the Phase Five, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania? Scott Lang gets face-to-face with the next big bad of the whole saga!

Secret Invasion - Spring 2023

It’s long overdue but as they say, better late than never, right? Secret Invasion brings Nick Fury and Maria Hill together once more, this time, it is because they would have to face the threat of those who can take ones’ identity up!

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 - May 5, 2023

Last seen in Thor: Love and Thunder, the favorite space gang is back with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 as Will Poulter’s Adam and Maria Bakalova’s Cosmo the Spacedog arrives to get into the MCU narrative which hints their participation with how Rocket became who he is today.

Echo - Summer 2023

Hawkeye’s spin-off series, Echo, presents Maya Lopez into her own show, the deaf-mute anti-hero of the MCU, where the next appearance of Wilson Fisk and Daredevil are set to happen.

Loki Season 2 - Summer 2023

Of all the titles on the list, Loki Season 2 plays one of the biggest roles in Phase Four and is expected to do the same for Phase Five. Here, the multiverse opened when He Who Remains was killed and the whole sacred timeline goes into a fiasco.

Ironheart - Fall 2023

Riri Williams, to be introduced in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, is set to get her very own Disney Plus series with Ironheart.

Agatha: Coven of Chaos - Winter 2023

Originally, the title of her own spinoff series would be Agatha: House of Harkness but during the SDCC, it was announced to be Agatha: Coven of Chaos hinting a chaotic run for Kathryn Hahn’s age-old witch!

Daredevil: Born Again - Spring 2024

One of the most awaited titles under Phase Five is Daredevil: Born Again. Supposedly, it forms part of the Netflix line-up but since the jump of Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, literally, anything is possible!

Captain America: New World Order - May 3 2024

Following Sam Wilson embracing his new title as the replacement of Steve Rogers, he finally gets his own film with Captain America: New World Order. Anthony Mackie’s hero is definitely going to make his own mark as the new Cap.

Thunderbolts - July 25, 2024

The team of supervillains or anti-heroes? Why not, right? Thunderbolts will be having Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Yelena Belova, The Winter Soldier, John Walker, Red Guardian, and Ghost.

Blade - September 6, 2024

It’s Mahershala Ali’s take on Blade. Marvel’s Blade is about the Daywalker who hunts vampires hunting the undead who have long preyed on humanity. Following the exit of Bassam Tariq, Blade will now be releasing on September 6, 2024, taking up the schedule of Deadpool 3.

MCU Phase Six

As if the fifth phase wasn’t enough yet, Marvel Studios really proved why one should “go big or go home,” because their extensive Phase Five line up continues with Phase Six.

Fantastic Four - February 14, 2024

Marvel’s first family is finally entering the MCU after various tries and hopefully, this time, the reboot won’t need another reboot. Get ready for the Fantastic Four with Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and the Thing!

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty - May 2, 2025

Of course, it will not be the Marvel Cinematic Universe without an Avengers movie! This time, it would follow the vein of Infinity War and Endgame which will come on a two-part release. The Avengers: Kang Dynasty, as the title suggests, follows much of Kang the Conqueror considering that he is the next big bad in the whole MCU. Not long after, the next part comes out as well.

Avengers: Secret Wars - May 1, 2026

Remember the incursions in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness? That detail will prove to be one of the most destructive things to ever happen in the MCU as it will take Earth 616 and Earth 1610 going head to head, destroying both. Variants of the heroes would have too make a stand and prove their worth in a post-apocalyptic planet, the Battleworld. There is a comic book mini-series with the same name so it is probably what the MCU is going for. Surprisingly, MCU Phase Six is just less than a year and that may mean something – the Multiverse Saga may be ending there and different things wait ahead for the heroes in Phase Seven.
