My Stepmom’s Daughter Is My Ex follows Mizuto and Yume who used to date in middle school but broke up upon entering high school despite being under the same institution. In a funny twist of fate, they are reunited under a different circumstance. As the title implies, they became step-siblings after Yuni, the mother of Yume, married Mineaki, the father of Mizuto. Yume and Mizuto have to face the challenge of living together under the same roof after the marriage of their parents. Somehow, they decided to put the feelings of their parents first before theirs. Yume and Mizuto swore to each other that whosoever falls back in love first will lose. Surprisingly, they share the same birthday, too!
