The vibrant and outgoing Chisato Nishikigi is voiced by Chika Anzai, an experienced actor who has performed a wide range of roles previously. Chisato is quite a change from one of Anzai’s more notable starring performances, where she played Hanabi in the seinen romance Scum’s Wish. She also notably voiced Reina Kousaka in the long-running high-school music series Sound Euphonium (black hair in the clip below). However, Anzai does have a good track record when it comes to highly-rated comedy anime. She was the voice of Kamui in Gintama and also played love interest Chisa in the young adult comedy Grand Blue. Chika Anzai has also played minor roles in hit anime series such as Attack on Titan (Mina Carolina), Hunter x Hunter (List and Mosquito) and Fruits Basket (Rika Aida).
Who is Takina’s Voice Actor in Lycoris Recoil?
The cold and focused Takina, meanwhile, is voiced by Shion Wakayama, a relatively inexperienced voice actor who is already making their name by nailing straight-laced, unaware characters in comedy series. Some anime fans instantly recognised Takina’s voice actor as the voice of Destiny in Takt Op. Destiny. As with Takina in LycoReco, Takt Op is an action anime where her character’s formal approach provides comedic relief outside of battle. Some fans may also recognise her as the voice of Shizuka Nanahoshi in the popular anime Mushoku Tensei. She has also played a minor role in Dr Stone.
