Who is the Last Hope of the Universe in Marvel’s What If..? Episode 8
In What If..?Episode 8, What If.. Ultron Won?, the last hope of the universe, or in this case, the multiverse, depends on where you would stand because there’s more than one if you would think about it. If you look into the perspective of Uatu, it would definitely be Black Widow who now wields the shield of Red Guardian as she remains to be the sole survivor of the universe that Ultron laid waste. Looking at a broader view, Uatu could also be considered to be the last hope of the universe, in his case, the whole multiverse as his intervention could finally be a make-it-or-break-it in dealing with Ultron. Whatever The Watcher is planning should get as planned considering that it is the multiverse that is at stake. As Doctor Strange Supreme convinced him to break his oath.
