The director, who was responsible for Man of Steel and also a favorite among DC fans, left DC during the development of the Justice League film back in 2017, which should have been his third film in the DC franchise. The film was eventually released, but it was so poorly received by the fans that it ground DC to a halt for a while, and also started an internet movement to get Snyder’s director’s cut to be released.

After Zack Snyder’s Justice League was released, the director moved on to work with other projects. Since then, there have been several rumors of his return to DC. Those rumors have started again in recent weeks after Henry Cavill made his comeback as Superman in Black Adam, and new reports emerged about an upcoming solo Superman movie.

“As far as I know, I’m doing my thing and haven’t had anyone give me a call,” Snyder stated. You can check out the interview below:

“The image you see on this post and what you saw in Black Adam are just a very small taste of things to come,” Cavill said in his recent Instagram post. “There’s a lot to be thankful for, and I’ll get to that in time, but I wanted to thank you guys most of all. Thank you for your support and thank you for your patience. I promise it will be rewarded.”

Since the release of Black Adam, a lot of rumors have been circulating in recent weeks that Henry Cavill’s Black Adam cameo was part of a plan to get a new movie for the Superman actor. How and whether the upcoming Superman solo movie will be impacted by the events of The Flash film is yet to be confirmed. There have also been some rumors stating that The Flash film will include a time-traveling scene into the events of Man of Steel.

DCU’s Black Adam is currently in theaters since October 21.
