Given Gamora’s endearing, long-awaited romance with Quill (Chris Pratt), the fans are in a position to hope they can have more of them together, but actress Zoe Saldaña thinks otherwise.

She revealed in a recent interview that she never missed having to put on Gamora’s signature green body paint, and if the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was her final turn as the cosmic killer, it wouldn’t upset her.

“I can never say no to anything, but that green makeup? I wouldn’t be upset if it didn’t happen again," Saldaña told Variety. “I miss Gamora, but I don’t miss 3:30 a.m. calls and five-hour makeup sessions and trips to the dermatologist afterwards.”

However, if there’s one thing that will always remain significant for the actress, it’s the impact that she made as Gamora on the MCU’s generational fans. The connection she made with the audience is the very reason she keeps coming back to the world’s biggest franchise.

“Every time that you know that 8-year-old or that dad and mom or those generational fans that remind me that what I did was special to them, it makes me not be cynical about Marvel. It makes me understand that younger audiences should stop being overlooked,” expressed Saldaña.

The actress continued, “They have feelings too and if something impacts them, just because we consider it stupid or immature or cheeky, doesn’t mean it’s not special.”

Regardless of whether the deadlier green warrior will remain on the MCU screen, one thing is certain: the stunning Saldaña will continue to provide fans with a memorable theatrical experience in whatever role she chooses to play.

Saldaña is expected to grace the screen in one of the most anticipated films of the year, “Avatar: The Way of Water,” releasing on December 16, 2022.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 is expected to hit the theatres on May 5, 2023.
